Notes: Harriet was a widow. Thomas E. was her son who was 41, born in Redditch, single and also living on his own means. Elizabet Boswell, aged 23, single and born in Wooten Wawen, Warwickshire, was the domestic servant. In 1851 Harriet’s husband, aged 30 and born in Redditch, had been a clerk. The family were living in Beoley Lane, Redditch. In 1861 William Field was a needle manufacturer, and William and Harriet were living in Beoley Road, Redditch. They (and Thomas) were still living in Beoley Road in 1871 and William was still a needle manufacturer. Thomas was a needle manufacturer’s assistant. In 1881 the three Fields were living in Headway, Ipsley, Warwickshire. William was a needle manufacturer. On the 1901 census Harriet was still living in Church Road but no number stated on the census. William was listed in the Post Office Directory of Worcestershire, 1876 as a needle manufacturer in Beoley Road, Redditch.
