(On the 1871 census the enumerator stopped at this house in Vine Street before going on to Evesham Street) (On earlier census Vine Street was known as Red Cow Yard but not mentioned on the early census records only as Evesham Street and later census Vine Street became Worcester Road) The 1871 census stated that the “White Swan” was in Vine Street but it was on the corner of Vine Street and Evesham Street so could be classed as in either street as on earlier census it was in Evesham Street. Joseph was the licensee 1867-1873. On the 1861 census they seemed to live in Headless Cross. Joseph died 8th January 1873.
